
Get it out of your brain

Happy Monday!
I’m doing it right now as you read this.
Getting my thoughts out of my mind and on to paper.
If you have a million tabs open on your computer and in your brain, you must do this.
I call it a Dump List.
Take out a piece of paper, a notebook, your notes app, or a document on your computer.
Dump all those thoughts out. Right where you are. At this very moment, if need be.
It’s so freeing.
This also allows the space to allow new ideas and thoughts to drop in.
Just like you can’t stuff another piece of clothing into those stuffed drawers, you can’t keep crowding your mind with all the clutter.
Get it out of your mind.
Then you can begin to allow more clarity and creativity in.

I have a million ideas
I have so much to do
I don’t know how I’ll get it all done
I really don’t know what to focus on first
I feel confused
I kind of know what I should do
But don’t know where to start
I procrastinate
I sometimes second guess my next move
I’m going to stop and take a deep breath here
I am going to put all my thoughts down on paper
I am going to be able to look at them from a different angle
I am going to prioritize what is the most important
Then I’m going to only do that one thing first
Yeah, that feels doable
I can do that
I can take one step towards one thing
I feel more clear now
I feel like when that one thing is done I can move on
I can move on the next step
This isn’t that hard
Why do I beat myself up
I’ve got this
I can do this
I am doing it

And it feels so good!!!!
